We like to join in with local events, so we thought we would mark the occasion by dressing up our dummy (affectionately known as Miss Haversham). Measuring for net curtains involves taking two measurements on your window. If you already have a net curtain wire or net curtain rod in place measure the drop from the wire or rod to where you want the curtain to end. If not, then measure from the top of the frame (not the glass), inside the window reveal. A new arrival in store this week is a range of sewing machines from the very basic to the fully computerised. These are new sewing machines from a variety of suppliers including Singer and Silva. If you’re not ready for a new machine, we also service and repair most makes of machine. Read more about sewing machine servicing and repairs.
We have now put in an order for Simplicity patterns and their additional range New Look. The range will include dressmaking patterns, wedding dress patterns and craft patterns. The spring collection will be available to buy before the end of March. We will also be operating the Simplicity pattern club where we will hold a collector card on your behalf and for every four patterns you buy from us you will get the fifth pattern free!
