Cadet Grey Polycotton Twill Fabric

This cadet grey polycotton twill material is a strong, hardwearing mix of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This sturdy blue-grey plain polycotton twill fabric has a smooth, finish and a useful blue grey colour, and would be ideal for making a bag or jacket.

What is twill fabric?

This attractive cadet grey cotton mix fabric is a twill. This is a strong dressmaking material, like a canvas or drill but it is woven slightly differently, which gives the material a subtle diagonal weave. If you want a natural product, we also sell cotton drill, which is a very similar fabric. Denim is a type of twill fabric, so this fabric has a similar weave to denim. This is a heavy cotton mix material, making it suitable for  furnishings and clothes like work clothes and outer wear that may have to withstand hard wear and tear.

How to use cadet grey twill fabric

Twill is a great utility fabric, strong, smooth and hardwearing. Twill material resists tearing and stains making it great for many crafts and dressmaking projects. We sell a lot of twill and drill for projects like:
  • Overalls
  • Jackets
  • Trousers
  • Work wear
  • Dungarees
  • Apron
  • Bags
  • Horse Blankets
As well as work clothes, fabric like this grey twill is also the perfect weight for coats and jackets. Pair it with a fancy cotton poplin for a lining to make a fabulous and individual garment.  This cadet grey polycotton twill is also available in other colours.

Colours can appear differently on screen, so although every care has been taken to represent them accurately, some variations may occur from real life. To check colours are as you expect we recommend you order a sample, to see and feel the fabric in the flesh. Free samples are available for all fabrics! Colours can also vary between dye lots, so please ensure you order enough for your project.

So we can package your fabrics beautifully for posting, they will be taken off the roll and folded. We try our best to always send fabric in one continuous length although this is not always possible, we will contact you if this is the case. Some fabrics are also on sale in our shop in Bridport, Dorset, so on rare occasions stock may not be available where it appears to be online. We do our best to avoid this and many fabrics can be reordered, again if this occurs we will contact you to discuss the options.

To keep your lovely new fabrics in the best condition we recommend checking out the Product Info for details on how to care for them. Washable fabrics should always be hand washed, before cutting and making your projects, in order to allow for shrinkage.
