How to order roller blind stiffening fabric
The fabric is 175cm wide, and this width can be used for the drop, if required. This means if the fabric you need for your blind is 90cm wide x 150 depth, you would need to order 1m of fabric. When measuring, we recommend adding 40cm to the finished drop of your window. This will then allow enough fabric to roll around at the top, and to finish the blind at the bottom. LONGER BLINDS: If you blind is longer than 175 cm, then you will need to order the finished length plus 40cm.How to use roller blind stiffening fabric
This blackout backing fabric is applied with a hot iron, so we recommend taking care to select a fabric can be ironed, and testing a small piece of your show fabric first. Colours can appear differently on screen, so although every care has been taken to represent them accurately, some variations may occur from real life. To check colours are as you expect we recommend you order a sample, to see and feel the fabric in the flesh. Free samples are available for all fabrics! Colours can also vary between dye lots, so please ensure you order enough for your project.
So we can package your fabrics beautifully for posting, they will be taken off the roll and folded. We try our best to always send fabric in one continuous length although this is not always possible, we will contact you if this is the case. Some fabrics are also on sale in our shop in Bridport, Dorset, so on rare occasions stock may not be available where it appears to be online. We do our best to avoid this and many fabrics can be reordered, again if this occurs we will contact you to discuss the options.
To keep your lovely new fabrics in the best condition we recommend checking out the Product Info for details on how to care for them. Washable fabrics should always be hand washed, before cutting and making your projects, in order to allow for shrinkage.

I needed something to back some fabric I already had to give the roller blind I was making have a bit more substance. I had never heard of this backing its brilliant. I took it slowly while I was ironing the backing on and followed the instructions on your site it looks very professional. I did use some fray check on the edges just to make sure it wouldn’t need any more attention than that. I would definitely recommend it

I used this to refurbish a roller blind with fabric to match my new curtains and to replace the fabric strips of vertical blinds. Thank you for your excellent instructions which I followed to the letter. The biggest challenge I had was working out where to press it safely, otherwise everything worked really well. I used a piece I had left to make an owl doorstop, turning it through was an act of faith but it looks wonderful and stands beautifully! Many thanks!
