About bamboo fabric

This dark indigo blue furnishing fabric is made from 100% bamboo, which is a sustainable fabric made from a sustainable fibre. Bamboo grows incredibly fast, requires no fertiliser and also regenerates from its own roots, so it doesn't need to be replanted, so it is the most eco-friendly fabric on the planet. Bamboo is a tropical grass with an extensive roots capable of producing four to six new shoots a year. It is also 100 per cent biodegradable, making it the most renewable resource on our planet. Bamboo also provides an abundance of usable oxygen, which benefits the atmosphere. This fabric is 100% bamboo fibre, so it's hardwearing and has a Martindale rub test of 30,000, it is suitable for projects like:
  • Curtains
  • Cushions
  • Blinds
  • Upholstery
  • Heavyweight clothing
Furnishing fabrics can be a good choice for garments that require a more hardwearing material. They can be great for jackets, coats and trousers. They also have stain resistant properties, so they can be good for clothing that is going to get lots of wear in different weathers.
