This 8 wale royal blue corduroy is a sturdy mid blue dress material with textured velvety ribs. Corduroy is the perfect winter fabric to make warm, cosy clothes! This blue cord fabric made from 100% cotton.

How thick is this corduroy?

Each of our corduroy fabrics have a wale number, worked out by counting the number of wales or ribs in a single inch of fabric. The lower the wale number, the thicker the wales on corduroy fabric will be. Higher wale numbers indicate thinner wales that are more closely bunched together. A standard corduroy fabric has around 11-12 wales, so this corduroy is chunkier than a standard cord, but not as much as a jumbo cord. Find out more about corduroy here.
