Look what turned up in a bag of old knitting patterns destined for the tip! This edition of House and Garden magazine was published in 1968 and cost 4 shillings. Along with it was this old sewing and haberdashery catalogue.
One of our previous staff members now works in London at MacCulloch & Wallis, although she was born long after this copy of stock articles was printed.
So, clearly only women were expected to sew in the seventies!!
“Semi sheer, washable, practical Dralon………she just had to have it” 🙂
