Patchwork involves sewing pieces of fabric together to create a design which is often used to create quilts, jackets, wall-hangings. Many people combine patchwork with other techniques such as embroidery and applique to create their own unique designs. The patchwork design is usually made from different coloured and patterned fabrics using geometric shapes which are carefully cut, measured and joined to create the patchwork design. Patchworkers like to use 100% cotton fabrics, as they do not stretch or pucker. We have a wide range of patchwork fabrics available at our shop in Bridport.
