How to Make a Triple Pleat Curtain Using Buckram

In this course you will make a small samples of a triple (pinch) pleat lined curtain using buckram. The course will give you the confidence to make your own triple pleat curtains when you get home. In this two hour session you will learn the following:

  • How to use buckram
  • Hand sewing stitches required

Please bring with you the following items

  • Sewing machine in full working order with its instruction manual and all of its sewing machine feet. Basic sewing kit to include dressmaking scissors, unpicker, bright coloured polycotton thread, pins, spare sewing machine needles, hand sewing needles, tailors chalk, tape measure and ruler.
  • Note pad and pen
  • Cotton to match your curtain fabric
  • 1 metre curtain fabric
  • 1 metre of curtain lining
  • 1.5 meters of 4 inch buckram
  • 1 metre of triple pleat heading tape
